General Conditions

Please read these General Conditions carefully. By booking and paying for your stay at Maison Malo, you are deemed to have accepted them.

1. Contract

The contract for a short-term holiday rental is made between the guest and the owner. The contract becomes effective once the booking is approved by email, the required payment is received, and confirmation is sent by email.

2. Payment and Prices

Bookings are payable in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. Prices and conditions shown on the website may be amended prior to booking.

3. Cancellation

Unless otherwise agreed, the following cancellation terms apply:

• 100% refund for cancellations at least 60 days before check-in.
• 50% refund for cancellations between 30 and 60 days before check-in.
• No refund for cancellations less than 30 days before check-in.

Cancellation requests should be sent directly to stay@maisonmalo.be.

4. Rental Period

Check-in and check-out times are communicated in your booking confirmation. Early check-in or late check-out are only possible by prior arrangement and may incur additional charges.

5. Maximum Occupancy

The number of guests may not exceed the number confirmed in your reservation. The owner may terminate the stay without refund in case of serious breach.

6. Smoking Policy

Maison Malo is a non-smoking accommodation. Additional cleaning costs may be charged when this policy is violated.

7. Care of Property

Guests must treat the property and contents with care and leave the accommodation in a reasonable condition upon departure. Guests are responsible for damage, loss, or extraordinary cleaning requirements resulting from their stay.

8. Security Deposit

A security deposit or card guarantee may be required in case of unreported breakage, damage, missing items, or excessive cleaning.

9. Pets

Pets are not allowed unless explicitly confirmed in writing before arrival.

10. Included Items

The booking includes the items and services specified on the website and in your confirmation, including utilities and standard accommodation essentials.

11. Liability

The owner is not liable for accidents, injuries, loss, or damage to personal belongings, vehicles, or other property during your stay, except where required by applicable law.

12. Circumstances Beyond Control

If the property becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, alternative dates, alternative accommodation, or a refund of amounts paid may be offered. No further liability applies.

13. General House Rules

Guests must not use the property for illegal or commercial activities and must respect neighbors and local regulations. The owner reserves the right to refuse or terminate accommodation in case of serious misconduct.
